Fact-Checking Policy
Fact checking starts with the claim, its best available primary source and the date on which that source was reviewed.

Verification workflow
The editor records the claim, source URL, source date where available, review date and any conflict between sources. Where the CBS register and a venue page report different machine figures, both are shown and the difference is explained.
- Confirm names, addresses and licence numbers character by character.
- Date timetables, fares and travel estimates.
- Call out facts that require direct venue confirmation.
- Do not convert absence of evidence into a positive claim.
Time-sensitive information
Hours, transport, fares, offers and accessibility arrangements can change. They receive expiry or review flags in the central data model. Expired commercial records are not publishable.
Review record
Each substantive page identifies a publication or review date and points readers to sources. Corrections are handled under the corrections policy rather than silently rewriting a material error.
